- Discuss how your legal charges are to be met and whether you are eligible for legal aid - we will refer you appropriately.
- Give you the best information we can as to likely costs:
either by agreeing a fee with you;
providing you with an estimate of costs;
or explaining how our costs will be worked out. - Provide at the outset an estimate of what we believe your costs will be.
- Provide you with a report and update on the costs position at intervals of at most six months, in order to confirm or revise our earlier costs estimate. If the costs estimate has to be revised, we will give you our reasons for doing so.
Value Added Tax (VAT) and all payments out we make on your behalf (disbursements) will be added to our final account.
